John C. Robinson, Chief Executive Officer

John C. Robinson is Chief Executive Officer of Consequent Capital Management and a seasoned investment professional with more than 21 years of global institutional financial services and capital markets experience. He has held senior management, investment consulting, marketing and product development roles in the private and public sectors. He has extensive experience in the southeast and nationally.

Mr. Robinson holds a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Association of Financial Professionals and holds the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation.

 

Cyril Theccanat, President and Chief Investment Officer

Cyril Theccanat has 30 years of experience in the institutional investment management business as a portfolio manager, trader, quantitative analyst, strategist and Chief Investment Officer. Before joining Consequent, Cyril was President and Chief Investment Officer of Smith Graham & Company where the firm’s institutional assets under management grew from $2 billion to more than $5 billion over a period of ten years.

Mr. Theccanat holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Master of Engineering degree in Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University.

 

Scott Cha-Choe, EVP/Interim-Chief Operations Officer

As a member of the Executive Management Team, Scott Cha-Choe is responsible for Finance and Business Strategy. He joined Consequent Capital Management during the post-asset purchase period to assist the Board of Directors with Organizational Transformation and Business Development. Prior to joining Consequent, Scott was First Vice President of Middle Market Commercial Lending at Bank of Hope overseeing the Georgia-Southeast Market was responsible for developing new markets in Private Equity, Venture Capital and Life Science & Technology Banking.

Mr. Cha-Choe is a graduate of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California where he majored in Business Administration and Finance. He also has a dual bachelor’s degree in History-emphasis on East Asian Studies.

 

Kyle Gifford, Performance Analytics & Reporting

Mr. Gifford has 4 years of experience in the Finance/Investment industry and has recently joined Consequent Capital Management in Performance Analytics and Reporting. He formerly worked for Aon Hewitt as an Investment Analyst. Mr. Gifford earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance in December 2014 from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a CFA Level I Candidate.

 

DeLisa Peters Boyd, Business Development and Investor Relations Analyst

DeLisa Peters Boyd serves at Consequent Capital Management in the firm’s Business Development & Investor Relations group. Prior to Consequent, DeLisa was founder of D&E Consultants a project management firm. Her experience includes roles in sales, operations, planning and merchandising for Highland Capital Partners as Vice-President for Olly Shoes. She was Vice President at Caleres for consumer goods brands Vera Wang Lavender Label, Sam Edelman and Franco Sarto. She held the role of Senior Director for Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation’s footwear division. DeLisa received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Design & Merchandising from The Craft Fashion Institute.

 

Jingwei Li, CFA, CPA, Director, Manager Research

Jingwei Li joined Consequent Capital Management after servicing on the manager research team with Gray & Company and brings over 8 years of experience into her role with the firm. Ms. Li is Director of Manager Research & Due Diligence Team and focuses on manager research and monitoring, conducting and producing quantitative and qualitative analysis on traditional, long-only equity and fixed income investment managers and strategies.

Ms. Li earned her Bachelor of Science in Financial Management, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in China; and her Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Accounting at DePaul University in Chicago. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals. She is also a CPA and a member of AICPA.

 

Kurt Lofters, Investment Consultant

Kurt Lofters brings over 17 years of experience in the industry. He currently has broad client management responsibilities including assisting defined benefit, defined contribution, and endowment clients with the development of investment policies and objectives, strategic asset allocation, the evaluation and selection of investment managers and strategies as well as the review and analysis of investment performance in meeting client objectives.

Prior to Consequent Capital Management, Kurt served as an investment consultant at Gray and Company, Merrill Lynch and an investment specialist at Invesco within its defined contribution retirement practices. His responsibilities with his prior firms focused on research and analysis in the evaluation of investment performance, due diligence and selection of investment managers, and providing quarterly client investment performance reviews.

Kurt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a Master of Public Administration degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Kurt holds a Series 66 license from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and is also a Level II CAIA candidate.

 

Brad Lyons, CFP ® Investment Consultant

Brad Lyons is a Managing Director and serves as an Investment Consultant to pension and foundation boards. Prior to joining Consequent, Brad was an Investment Consultant at Gray & Company from 2010 – 2017 where he worked in a similar capacity. Brad has more than 30 years of institutional financial services experience and held management positions in marketing and strategic product development for Iron Capital, AMVESCAP, SunTrust Banks, Inc. and Charles Schwab Corp.

Mr. Lyons earned his Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University and Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University. He is also a CFP ® certificant.

 

Kenneth O. Simon, Esq., Chief Compliance Officer

Kenneth O. Simon has more than 30 years of experience as a judge, lawyer and mediator. In 1983, he was one of 13 White House Fellows and served in that capacity as a Special Assistant to U.S. Attorney General William French Smith. Later, as an Assistant Director and Branch Chief of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C., Ken supervised investigations of possible violations of the federal securities laws. He served for several years as a as a state court trial judge, presiding over more than two hundred jury and non-jury trials. In private practice, Ken has represented public companies, broker- dealers, investment advisers, corporate executives, and registered representatives in proceedings before the SEC, FINRA, the New York Stock Exchange, the Chicago Board of Options Exchange, and state securities commissions.

Ken currently serves as CCM’s Chief Compliance Office and is responsible for ensuring the firm’s compliance with federal and state securities regulations. Mr. Simon earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Alabama and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law.

 

Ademir Zećo, CAIA, Managing Director, Manager Research & Alternative Funds

Ademir Zećo has over 17 years of experience in the investment industry and leads due diligence, selection, and monitoring efforts pertaining to alternative investment managers and strategies including, but not limited to, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, infrastructure and credit managers. He is extensively involved in advising clients regarding alternative investment portfolio structure and risk management and has oversight responsibilities for the firm’s multi-strategy alternatives fund of funds vehicles. Mr. Zećo was previously a Senior Research Consultant at Aon Hewitt, focusing on hedge fund due diligence.

Mr. Zećo earned a Bachelor of Science, Financial Services Management, Johnson & Wales University and holds certification as Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and is a CFA Level II Candidate.

 

Keri Broughton, Administrative Assistant

Keri Broughton has recently joined Consequent Capital Management as an Administrative Assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Brenau University and studied International Business at China Women's University in Beijing, China.
